MAKING FAKE WEAPON

Today I made the 'weapons' used by the protagonist to kill the hunter; the whole concept of this weapon was to make it look as though she had made it using her survival skills in the woods during the hunt

Here is my process:

Our aim for the weapon made by the protagonist was to create a something that is convincingly made out of objects that she has used as she is in the hunt itself. We have decided to use the idea of socks that is filled with rocks that she could use to kill the hunter. 

The first step was to source: 

- 4 white socks

- rocks 

- fake blood 

- newspaper 

- tape 

- tights 

I wanted to create 4 different versions of the sock weapon for the different stages of our protagonists journey: 

a sock that is slightly dirty filled with real rocks, a sock that is slightly dirty with fake rocks and then the same two versions but after she has killed the hunter with fake blood smeared on the sock to communicate she has caused him serious harm.

I firstly got newspaper and crumpled it up, taping it after to Make it the same shape and size of the rocks that I had

I then compared the two (fake rocks and real rocks) to see whether they were identical:

I then needed to make the socks look very bloody, as we need a pair for after she first attacks the hunter with the weapon.  I did this by smudging fake blood over the socks:

Im really happy with the outcome of this for our shoot.
